How do I find a Teacher?

MN Awards is an Ofqual-recognised awarding body, which means we design and regulate the qualifications, set the standards, and assess the exams - but we don’t teach them ourselves. This keeps everything fair, transparent, and free from any conflict of interest.

Because we don’t deliver our own grades, MN doesn’t employ or provide teachers directly. Instead, our qualifications are taught by independent teachers, schools, and organisations across the UK and beyond. This also means that parents and students pay their class fees directly to their chosen teacher, just like with other theatre and performance exams (Grades 1–8) already out there.
The only time a parent or student would ever pay MN Awards directly is when they enter for an exam.

If you’d like help finding a qualified MN Awards teacher for yourself or your child, we’re happy to assist. Simply get in touch using the form, and our team can recommend a trusted teacher or centre in your area, or suggest a suitable online option.

Alternatively, you are welcome to contact us directly on +44 (0)207 052 4587 or email office@mnawards.co.uk.

(If you’re a home-school parent wanting to teach our graded exams, simply register as a teacher for a free profile, you can also join one of our CPD courses - They’re competitively priced and allow you to teach our grades once you’ve completed the course (online or in-person). Click here for more details.

How do I Book An Exam?

Once you’ve found a teacher, they’ll take the lead on all exam arrangements - so you can focus on your exam, not the paperwork.

If you are a student (over 18) or a parent of a student, you can't book exams directly. All exams are booked through an MN Teacher.

Your teacher will handle the entire process on your behalf, including registration, exam setup, and providing all the information you’ll need. Once your exam has been booked, your teacher can give you access to your personal MN Portal page, where you can view your upcoming exam, past results, and certificates. If required, parents or students can pay for exams online.

Your teacher will also help you decide which grade and subject are the best fit before booking, ensuring every learner is entered for the right level.

How to Sign Up and Get Started on the MN Marketplace

When you sign up to the MN Marketplace, you’ll be asked whether you’re a student or a parent. You’ll need to be 18 or over to register. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian can create an account and register you instead.

If you’re a student aged 18 or over:
You create your Marketplace account. From there, you can browse teachers, choose between online or in-person classes, and start arranging your lessons directly.

If you’re a parent registering a child under 18:
Register your account. Once you’ve found a teacher you’re happy with, you’ll be able to share your child’s information - including their name, age, and gender, so lessons and exams can be arranged smoothly.

We recommend parents and students take a moment to review each teacher’s profile carefully before booking, including their experience, reviews, and verification status, to make sure they’re the right fit. If you’re booking with a teacher for the first time, we also suggest starting with a single lesson to ensure you’re happy before arranging more.

The MN Marketplace provides a safe and secure way to connect with trusted Film & TV teachers - helping every learner start their journey with confidence.
