MN AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS

CO-CURRICULAR AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS FOR ACADEMIC YEARS 3 TO 8

MN runs after-school clubs that open the world of screen creativity to students.

Our clubs run after school as extra-curricular activities, giving students a creative, collaborative space to explore screen-based storytelling in a fun and practical way. Programmes are refreshed every term, keeping them exciting for both new and returning students. We provide all equipment, and all our teachers hold enhanced DBS certificates with full pre-employment checks.

What We Do

MN runs after-school clubs that open the world of screen creativity to students. We currently offer three subject strands:

Filmmaking

Students step into roles such as director, actor, camera operator, and sound engineer to create their own short films.

Backstage, work in progress, artist day, illustration making, rocket, stars, space. Paper

02

Stop Animation

Using stop-motion techniques, students bring their ideas to life with hands-on animation projects.

TV Presenting

From news bulletins to chat shows and public speaking, students have fun building confidence and working on articulation.

Complimentary Free Workshop

Experience what we do before committing. We offer two free 30-minute sessions for up to 35 students in each, where pupils step into roles such as actor, director, sound engineer, and camera operator. All equipment is provided for a complete, hands-on experience.

Launch a Club Straightaway

Already confident we’re the right fit? Schools can skip the tasters and start an after-school club immediately, giving students instant access to our creative, collaborative programme.

Our FREE workshops are a great way for schools to get to know us & vice versa! To be frank, our hope is the workshop is so great that it generates lots of interest, so much so that you/your school may consider running a more permanent MN after-school club in film & television. (More about our clubs further down this page).

No Catch

Rest assured, there is no obligation. If we or our workshops don't resonate with your students, će la vie, while some schools may not be keen, the majority love what we do & understand the benefits.

The only way to truly read the digital world is to learn how to construct it.

96% of UK children consume their reality via YouTube and TikTok. They aren't just watching content; they are watching an algorithm.

Currently, only 50% of students can distinguish a fact from an opinion online.

True digital safety comes from understanding 'Screen Grammer' - knowing the difference between a captured moment, a proven fact, and a layered, constructed opinion.

Research proves that hands-on filmmaking is the fastest route to critical media literacy. While English, IT & PGSE teach the theory, Screen Drama is the only subject that practically synthesises planning, framing, performance, and editing in one place.

DON'T JUST LIMIT SCREEN TIME. UPGRADE IT.

Turn passive scrolling into professional skills. The result isn't just a filmmaker, it's a media-savvy, critical thinker.

By using the medium against itself, we teach kids to build the illusion so they can see the truth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our clubs are generally 60 mins long, although we can adapt this to suit school’s needs. Our classes normally take place in the ‘after school club’ slot, although if appropriate, we’re happy to discuss breakfast and lunchtime clubs.

When do the classes take place?

We can welcome up to fifteen students in a class, and generally require a minimum of nine.

How many students can you accommodate?

For a ten-week term, we charge £105 per student. We’re happy to adjust costings for longer or shorter terms and can invoice parents directly, or, go via the school.

How much does our clubs cost?

Absolutely! If your school has enough sign-ups, we’re happy to run the classes. We work with a number of schools where we run multiple sessions for different year groups.

Could you provide more than one class a week?

Generally speaking, our classes are suitable for KS2 and KS3 (up to year 8).

What year groups can take part?

In short, yes! We’re happy to create bespoke short courses to fit into a topic at school. Creating documentaries, news reports & interviews can be a great way for students to deepen their understanding of topics and communicate what they’ve learned. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Could you provide curriculum-time enrichment sessions?
